On August 13, when floodwater almost receded, many Public Security units, located in Hanoi, deployed special function vehicles to Tan Tien and Nam Phuong Tien communes in Chuong My district to help residents to clean up trash and mud left behind.
The area had been submerged 1.5 meters deep under water after heavy downpours triggered severe floods in many parts of the district since July.
Earlier on August 8, 20 officers and 2 field pumps of the Hanoi Fire Police Department’s Division 9 were mobilized to the flood-hit area, to help local residents clean up the roads and houses.
