Helping over 1,000 released prisoners find jobs

PSNews - The State agencies, social organizations and enterprises offered jobs to 2,036 people and provided loans for those who were granted special amnesty to do small business and develop household economy.

The Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee held a preliminary conference on December 26, to review the implementation of Government's Decree No. 80/2011/ND-CP on measures to facilitate the community reintegration of the prisoners whose imprisonment has expired.

After 6 years implementing this decree in collaboration with involved ministries, agencies and branches, the Thai Binh authorities have achieved positive outcomes.

Information activities were conducted regularly with  interesting contents and in various forms, helping people have more understanding and empathy and no discrimination against released prisoners.

The local authorities seriously followed the laws when receiving, managing, educating and supporting released prisoners in reintegrating into society.

The State agencies, social organizations and enterprises offered jobs to 2,036 people and provided loans for those who were granted special amnesty to do small business and develop household economy.

Additionally, the Thai Binh authorities organized 96 vocational training courses for nearly 4,000 released prisoners. They also encouraged districts and communes to expand typical concepts of the movement "All people protecting national security".

At the conference, the Ministry of Public Security, the Thai Binh Provincial People’s Committee and the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance as well as the Thai Binh Provincial Police presented certificates of merit to 26 individuals and organizations for outstanding achievements in the implementation of this Decree in the period 2011-2017.
