High Command of Mobile Police reviews task performance in first half of 2019

PSNews – The High Command of Mobile Police recently held a conference to review its tasks performance in the first 6 months of 2019. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the meeting. Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong, Commander of the Mobile Police High Command chaired the event.

According to the report on the Mobile Police’s task performance in the first half of 2019, the unit has closely followed its working plans, ready its forces and means for both regular and unexpected tasks and protect important targets.

In particular, the unit ensured absolute safety for over 2,000 State and international conferences as well as important political, cultural and social activities across the country, especially the US-DPRK 2nd Second Summit in Hanoi, and the UN Day of Vesak 2019 in Ha Nam.

The Mobile Police High Command also coordinated closely with functional forces and local police to grasp, assess the situation and predict situational developments, and actively drew up plans and mobilized forces to ensure security and order while promptly solving complicated security cases.

In the first 6 months of 2019, the unit has mobilized 5,000 police officers and soldiers, in collaboration with other 7 relevant agencies and local police units to crack down on 22 major security and criminal cases, arrested 627 people involved and many exhibits. 

Thousands of police officers and soldiers were also deployed to support local police units to conduct patrols and checks to ensure local security and order.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong praised the results that the High Command of Mobile Police has achieved in the first half of 2019. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong urged the unit to actively coordinate with specialized agencies under the Ministry of Public Security to provide further advice to the leadership of the MPS on working plans.

The unit should also thoroughly grasp, well assess and exactly predict situations, provide timely advice to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on comprehensive and efficient approaches to prevent and fight against crimes and ensure security.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security requested the high command deploy forces to firmly protect important targets, especially important political, cultural and social events and activities held in Vietnam as well as activities of leaders at all levels.

At the conference, authorized by the President, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong handed over the Feat of Arms Orders of 2nd class to the 1st Task Force Battalion while other excellent organizations and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister. 

Many other outstanding individuals and organizations were also rewarded by the Ministry of Public Security and the High Command of Mobile Police.
