Hoa Binh Police review campaign against crimes

PSNews - The Hoa Binh Provincial Police on September 25 held a conference to review its campaign against crime with the aim of ensuring absolute security for important national events, such as the 55th anniversary of People's Police Force Traditional Day (July 20th 1962-2017) and APEC Vietnam 2017.

Senior Colonel Pham Hong Tuyen, Director of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police chaired the event.

In recent times, the provincial police force actively made advice to the local authorities and Party committees on security and order issues, contributing to promoting the comprehensive power of the whole political system and people in maintaining local security and order.

All subordinate units of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police have at the same time implemented anti-crime campaigns, resolving many complex drug-related or criminal cases, and eradicating complicated social hotspots.

The local criminal police detected 111 criminal cases and successfully invested 90 cases, of which 81.1% of the very serious criminal cases were solved and 100% of the extremely serious criminal cases were solved while seizing exhibits of the cases worth 910 billion VND.

The drug-related criminal police also successfully cracked down on 35 cases, arrested 46 suspects; and seized 31 cakes of heroin and 513.36 grams of heroin, 5,258 synthetic drug pills and 198.78 grams of synthetic drugs, and many related exhibits.

Especially, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police in coordination with the Department of Drug-related Criminal Investigation under the Ministry of Public Security and police force of other provinces caught red-hand a drug-trafficking suspect, seizing 51 kg of drugs and 400 synthetic drug pills, a car and 70 million VND in cash.

Such achievements have contributed to ensuring the political security and social order, safety in the locality, as well as the security for national special events and APEC 2017.

Minister of Public Security To Lam sent a Letter of Merits to the Hoa Binh Provincial Police on this occasion. The Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee also presented Certificates of Merit to 3 organizations and 3 individuals of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police.

The Director of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police presented Certificates of Merit to 11 organizations and 16 individuals for their excellent achievements in the recent campaign against crimes.
