Innovation contest on fire and rescue scientific in 2021-2022 opens

The Police Department of Fire and Rescue (PDFR) under the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony on April 22 to launch the Science and Technology Innovation Contest on Fire prevention and Rescue in the 2021-2022 period.

The contest aimed at promoting scientific research and technological application of domestic and foreign scientists, researchers, and organizations in the field of fire prevention and rescue, contributing to boosting the application of the world’s advanced firefighting and rescue technologies in Vietnam.

With the theme “Firefighting and rescue equipment and solutions in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, entries to the contest are scientific research projects, firefighting and technological solutions based on digital and biological technologies useful for the firefighting and rescue sector, or firefighting and rescue equipment and devices.

 Research projects, solution and technology applications that may highly be valued include environment-friendly and efficient fire-fighting substances, fire-proof materials as well as robots and drones supporting firefighters in controlling fires and rescuing victims.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung praised the fire and rescue police force for proactively researching and applying scientific and technological advances in performing their tasks. 

In order to ensure the quality of the contest, Deputy Minister Hung asked the contest’s Organizing Committee to popularize the information of the contest to relevant domestic and foreign scientists, researchers, and organizations, while working out rules for the contest so as to evaluate the entries in an impartial and objective manner.
