Lang Son Provincial Police announce new working plans
PSNews – The Provincial Police of Lang Son held a two-day conference on January 16 to roll out their new working plans for 2019.

The conference saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and leaders of agencies under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
According to reports at the conference, the provincial police investigated 404 criminal cases with 562 people involved, 156 gambling cases with 778 people involved, and 322 drug-related cases and arrested 527 people involved, seized 54.3 kg of heroin, 4.4 kg and 22,458 pills of synthetic drugs and other exhibits. The provincial police also disclosed 446 smuggling cases, seized an amount of goods worth more than 21 billion VND.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem recognized and appreciated the efforts and achievements of the provincial police in 2018, and asked them to continue to firmly protect national security, social order and safety and successfully accomplish their working plans in 2019.
On this occasion, 3 units under the Lang Song Provincial Police Department were honored with Excellent Emulation Flags by the MPS for their outstanding achievements in the “For National Security” movement, and 3 units and 8 officers were presented with Certificates of Merit by the MPS for their outstanding achievements in the fight against crimes.
