Leader of Ministry of Defense congratulates Public Security Forces on its 75th founding anniversary

A delegation of the Ministry of Defense on August 17 visited the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2020).

Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of Defense, led the delegation. Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, received the delegates.

According the Deputy Minister of Defense, following the revolutionary cause chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the People’s Public Security Forces and the People’s Army have always stood united to achieve great triumphs in constructing and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In the time to come, the two armed forces should promote their coordination to firmly protect national security, national independence and territorial integrity as well as ensure public order and security in the country, Deputy Minister Giang stressed.

On behalf of the Public Security Forces, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang thanked the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Public Security for their congratulations on the forces’ founding anniversary.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security hoped that military units and defense agencies will provide more support for and boost coordination with Public Security Forces in ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety as well as in building the Public Security Forces in the coming time.
