Major Vo Tan Dung is the head of the Police Section on Human Trafficking, under the Criminal Police Sub-division of the Tay Ninh Police.

According to the local police, on February 25, the Criminal Police Sub-division in cooperation with the Moc Bai International Border Guard Station organized an ambush and captured Nguyen Thanh Nhon (30 years old, resident of Tan Dong hamlet, Tan Hung commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh) while stealing motorbikes at the parking lot in front of the Ba Den Mountain Tourist Site.

At the investigation agency, Nhon confessed that he and Tran Ngoc Chau (25 years old, resident of Tan Dong hamlet) carried out 8 other same thefts in the area. The stolen motorbikes were then taken to Cambodia by Chau for consumption.

Shortly thereafter, a police group led by Major Vo Tan Dung carried out an arrest of Chau but the criminal reacted violently in an effort to escape from the police.

On arresting the suspect, Major Dung was injured and taken to hospital by his comrades. But he and his comrades successfully arrested Chau and seized the stolen motorbike.
