“Learn to be policemen” program can help children mature in all aspects

PSNews – The program “Learn to be policemen” organized by the National Center for Children’s Activities run by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's Central Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security’s Youth Union chapter and People’s Police Higher School has brought positive results in training and educating children since it was first launched.

Besides offering children a meaningful summer, the program also provides an opportunity for children to experience the police living and working environment, and drill in law observance and sense of courage, which helps them have right perceptions about themselves, their family and friends.

In addition, children can cultivate knowledge of national traditions, patriotism, courage and sacrifices of people’s police officers, contributing to fostering love for the homeland and for their families.

The program “Learn to be policemen” also equips them with basic knowledge of the Law on Children, Traffic Law, Fire Prevention and Fighting Law.

The participants also join several training sections on professional practices, lineup and marching regulations, martial arts, physical training, life skills, fire prevention, traffic safety, drowning rescue and team-work skills.

Moreover, the program helps children to discover their talent in sports, culture and arts; and encourage children to participate in social security activities as well as voluntary activities for the local community.

“Learn to be policemen” encourages children to think critically, discover and improve themselves to become good citizens and good children of their family.

After the program, the participants will have a high sense of responsibility for the cause of national construction and defense.
