Liaison Board of Policemen Reinforced to the Southern Battlefield rolls out plans for 2018
PSNews – The Liaison Board of Policemen Reinforced to the Southern Battlefield held a conference to review its task performance in 2017 and roll out plans for 2018 on January 1. Major General Phan Van Lai, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Head of the Board chaired the conference.

In 2017, the Board held many important events successfully and implemented practical activities which were praised by leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the General Department of Politics as well as local police units.
On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Unification (April 30, 1975 – 2017), the board had the honor to meet President Tran Dai Quang at the Presidential Palace. They also went to Ha Nam and Ben Tre provinces to share experiences, inspire the young generation and visit local Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs and wounded soldiers.
Additionally, the board in collaboration with the publishing house of public security launched a book named “Wartime letters of the Public Security officers.”
Members of the Liaison Board who are historical witnesses recently delivered important reports at a scientific workshop named “Role of the Public Security Forces in the General Offensive and Uprising 1968” hosted by the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Mau Than Offensive 1968.

Regarding its missions in 2018, the Liaison Board will continuously carry out social activities and in collaboration with functional units to build the Memorial Monument of Policemen Reinforced to the Southern Battlefield in the campus of the Public Security Academy.
After the successful release of the first book “Wartime letters of the Public Security forces", members of the board will also collect more wartime letters to compile the next part.
