MPS congratulates Thanh Hoa Cathedral as Christmas Day coming

PSnews – A delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam, and joined by leaders of the Thanh Hoa province and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, on December 21 visited and extended congratulations to the Thanh Hoa Cathedral on the Christmas 2016 holiday.

The delegation was received by bishop of the Thanh Hoa cathedral Nguyen Chi Linh.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam wished the priests, religious dignitaries and parishioners in Thanh Hoa a merry Christmas season.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security affirmed , the public security forces at all levels in collaboration with local Party committees and relevant authorities have always attached importance to maintaining social security for local parishioners and promoting unity between Christians and non-Christians nationwide with the aim of building great national unity and promoting national socio-economic development.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam also appreciated the role of priests and religious dignitaries in the diocese in strengthening the national unity bloc and spoke highly of positive contributions of the diocese to implementing national patriotic emulation movements and developing the country.

According to the Deputy Minister of Public Security, many Catholic households actually have taken the lead in patriotic emulation movements. He then asked the priests and religious dignitaries to continue to promote their roles in developing the locality and building the country.

For his part, Bishop Nguyen Chi Linh of the Thanh Hoa diocese thanked the Ministry Public Security in general and the Thanh Hoa authorities and the Provincial Police in particular for their due care for the diocese. He also pledged to do his best to mobilize parishioners to seriously implement laws and to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, as well as to act as good citizens.
