MPS cracks down on major transnational drug ring
PSNews - The Investigation Police Department on Drug-related Crimes and the Police Departments of Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City have just cracked down on a major transnational drug trafficking ring from Cambodia to Vietnam.

The police forces on June 14 arrested several suspects in Rach Son area, Go Dau town, Go Dau district, including Vuong Quoc Thai (60, Australian citizen), Ngo Thi Thanh Mai (20, resident of Ba Ria - Vung Tau), Nguyen Xuan Hai (45, resident of Dong Nai), Bui Minh Bao Vy (40, resident of Ho Chi Minh City).
The police seized various exhibits at the scene, including 4 yellow plastic bags, each carrying 1 kg of white crystal powder suspected of synthesized drugs. In addition, the police also seized a bag of white plastic nylon wrapped in orange tape, containing some 1,000 blue tablets in a four-seat car. The arrested initially confessed that they bought drugs from Cambodia and brought them back to Ho Chi Minh City for sale
An officer from the Investigation Police Department on Drug-related Crimes said that under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Department coordinated with the Police of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh city to promote launched campaigns against drug-related crimes in these localities.
