MPS discusses draft decree on professional communal-level police force

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security on May 20 held the second working session of the Drafting Committee and the Editorial Group in charge of drafting a decree on building professional police force for communes and townships. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Drafting Committee chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Tran Thi Ngoc Dep, Director of the Department for “All people protecting National Security” movement briefed the participants on the progress of drafting the decree on the building of professional police force for communes and townships.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son acknowledged the efforts of the Drafting Committee and the Editorial Group in drafting the decree. All members have fully implemented the order and procedures prescribed by laws for the drafting of the decree.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son stressed that, the decree is a very important policy concretized by a Resolution of the Politburo on ensuring public order and security in the rural areas in the new situation. Therefore, the drafting of the decree regulating the building of the professional police force at the communal level is also a specific task, contributing to implementing the Project 106 of the Ministry of Public Security.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also asked members of the Drafting Committee and Editorial Group to carefully review and evaluate their implementation of the roadmap to ensure the highest results.

Besides, the Drafting Committee and Editorial Group should also further assess possible impacts of the draft decree to ensure that the decree when being promulgated is suitable to the reality.

At the meeting, the participants also discussed and contributed ideas to various draft documents related to the building of a professional police force in communes and townships.
