MPS discusses draft documents for the 73rd National Public Security Conference

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on November 19 held a workshop to collect ideas for the documents of the 73rd National Public Security Conference. Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the event.

Delegates attending the workshop made significant contributions to three draft documents to be presented at the 73rd National Public Security Conference, including Report on public security activities in 2017; the Resolution of the Central Party Committee of Public Security on the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety and building the public security forces in 2018; and the Public Security Minister's Directive on public security tasks in 2018.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam stressed that, in 2017, the public security forces have actively, innovatively and effectively implemented the guidelines of the Party, the Sate on ensuring security and order; well performed the responsibility of the security and order advisor while actively grasping, analyzing and exactly predicting developments of the situations so as to deny any negative eventualities, to firmly ensure national security and created positive changes in social order and safety, contributing to maintaining political stability in the country and serving the country's socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked the group in charge of compiling the 73rd National Public Security Conference's documents to note all ideas from delegates, study, evaluate and add necessary information to the draft documents. Besides, the group was asked to exactly evaluate and predict future security and order situations so as to propose objectives, requirements, solutions to the public security work and slogans for the Public Security Forces in 2018. The group was also ordered to soon complete the documents for the 73rd National Public Security Conference.
