MPS discusses establishment of Data Integration Center

The center will meet the database center standards and be connected with databases of public security units, facilitating the operational direction of the chains of command at all levels in the Public Security Forces.

At the meeting, leaders of the Information Technology Department and the MPS Office briefed the Deputy Minister on the quality of the network infrastructure, the operation of the MPS Data Center as well as the results of surveys on the databases of under-ministerial agencies. They also discussed issues related to the establishment of the Data Integration Center of the MPS.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the MPS Office in coordination with the Information Technology Department to review the implementation of the MPS’s Circular regulating the building, management and use of shared databases in the Public Security Forces.

He also emphasized the urgent need for application of science and technologies to the work of the forces. The public security units assigned to manage and operate technological infrastructure and databases of the Public Security Forces should uphold their awareness of information security when sharing managing and using data, the Deputy Minister said.
