MPS establishes Steering Committee for public security health network development project

PSNews - The Steering Committee for implementing the Master Plan on the development of the public security health network from now to 2030 held its first meeting on October 6. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the meeting.

 At the meeting, representatives of the Health Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) announced decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Steering Committee and the Assistant Group for implementing the Master Plan on the development of the public security health network until 2030.

According to the decisions, the Steering Committee consists of 12 members led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security while the 13-member Assistant Group is led by Senior Colonel Pham Thi Lan Anh, Director of the Public Security Health Department.

The Master Plan aims to develop the public security health network, which is a part of the Vietnamese health system, to suit the new organizational apparatus of the Public Security Forces in accordance with the current laws on healthcare.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son emphasized that the public security health sector must develop to a level that meets the needs for medical examination and treatment of all public security officers and soldiers while providing good healthcare services for the people.

The Deputy Minister asked members of the Steering Committee and the Assistant Group to research and work out a roadmap and approaches to effectively realize the Master Plan until 2030.
