MPS establishes subcommittee in charge of ensuring security for elections of 15th National Assembly and People's Councils

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), chaired a meeting of the Subcommittee in charge of ensuring safe and secure elections of the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.

Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, the MPS announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Subcommittee in charge of ensuring safe and secure elections of the15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 term. Under the decisions, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang is the Head of the Subcommittee, and Major General To An Xo is the Standing Deputy Head of the Subcommittee.

The Subcommittee briefed delegates on a plan of the MPS on ensuring the security and safety for the elections of the 15th National Assembly and the People's Council at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 term. Delegates also contributed ideas and comments to the subcommittee’s working plans and working directions in the coming time.

To conclude the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the all public security agencies and units should actively promote coordination, exchange information, grasp the situation as well as ready means, technical equipment, communication systems for the security protection work of the elections.
