MPS holds seminar on building happy families of public security officers

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a seminar on August 29 on building happy families of public security officers.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Board on Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children Affairs in Public Security Forces; Ms. Hoang Thi Ai Nhien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union; representatives of public security agencies and units; and female public security officers.

Delegates at the seminar gave a review of families of public security officers and soldiers and discussed factors affecting the building of a happy family. They also pointed out the shortcomings of public security agencies and units at all levels in implementing family and children affairs and policies and dissemination of information about family and children policies.

Some proposed good solutions to better implementing family and children policies and supporting public security officers to build a sustainably happy family.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highlighted that the seminar was practical and useful for public security officers, particularly female ones, as many issues now have negative impact on the preservation of cultural values and the traditional family model as well as on the effort to build a happy family.

He also asked the Board on Woman’s Advancement, Family and Children’s Affairs of the Public Security Forces to promote coordination with public security agencies and units and other mass organizations, overcome all shortcomings in implementing family and children work and building happy families of public security officers. 

He urged that the family of every public security officer should set an example in following the Party’s and the State’s policies and laws, strives to build a cultural family, coordinate with the school and community in managing and educating their children so that they will become good citizens in the future.
