MPS holds seminar on ensuring economic security in current context

The People's Security Academy under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a scientific seminar themed "Ensuring economic security in the context of socialist-oriented market economy development and international economic integration of Vietnam".

Lt. Gen. Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a speech at the event.

At the seminar, delegates discussed theoretical topics related to ensuring economic security in developing socialist-oriented market economy and promoting international economic integration of Vietnam. They also shared good practices and experiences in maintaining economic security in key branches, sectors, and areas. Experts at the seminar also gave ideas and recommendations to improve the research of economic security theories and the training of economic security protection at public security schools in the new situation.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized the theoretical and practical significance of the seminar.

He requested that, after the event, the Theoretical Sub-Committee for National Security Protection, the People's Security Academy, and relevant units should consider the ideas and suggestions given by delegates at the seminar to work out solutions to ensure economic security for socialist-oriented market economy development and international economic integration.

Public security schools, especially the People's Security Academy, should strengthen coordination with public security agencies and provincial-level police departments to draw lessons from practices and conduct theoretical research on ensuring economic security, the Deputy Minister added. He also asked the academy to draw up a strategic plan to train lecturers with good theoretical qualifications and practical experience, who can coordinate and guide the under-ministerial public security agencies and local units in protecting economic security and national security at large.
