MPS holds teleconference on the 4.0 Industrial Revolution

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 3 held a teleconference in Hanoi entitled "Revolution 4.0:  Identification, Impacts and Behavior" with the participation of representatives of all local police departments and units.

At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Thang, Director of the Central for Analysis and Forecast under the Vietnam Academy of Social Science pointed out that the Forth Industrial Revolution (digital revolution) is booming.

This revolution represents the combination of the Internet of Things, artificial intelligent, cloud computing, 3-D painting, virtual reality, sensor technology, big Data, social network, among others to transform the entire real world into a digital world, change the way of production, manufacturing, greatly impact the economy, society, environment, superstructure, social stability at all global, regional and national levels.

Dr. Nguyen Thang also briefed delegates on the international and national overviews on the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, and provided them with information about the impact of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution on some key areas of security and order in Vietnam. He also gave forecasts and orientations on the behavior of Vietnam toward this Revolution.

The conference also provided achievements in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution in the world and in Vietnam to help leaders of the Ministry of Public Security further study it and police officers and soldiers have an insight into the characteristics of the 4.0 Revolution so that they can effectively make full use of opportunities and overcome challenges while applying the 4.0 Revolution to preventing and fighting crimes.
