MPS honors outstanding officers in following Uncle Ho’s example

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on August 22 held a meeting to honor outstanding officers in following the example of Uncle Ho.

This event was to mark 50 years of implementing Uncle Ho’s Will and 3 years of implementing the Politburo’s Directive 5 on enhancing the movement  “Studying and following Uncle Ho’s thoughts, morals and style”.

The meeting saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, member of the Party Central Committee and Director of the Vietnam News Agency, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and agencies and 50 outstanding officers in the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh spoke highly of the importance of the meeting, which honored the merits and achievements of officers in ensuring national security, social order and safety and building of the Public Security Forces.

Additionally, Deputy Minister Thanh highlighted the importance of information and education on the great values of the thoughts, morals and style of President Ho Chi Minh and promoting good examples in the Public Security Forces. 

He also asked all agencies and units under the ministry to conduct regular checks of their officers and soldiers’ obedience of the regulations, while resolutely fighting against distorted information, wrong views, “peaceful evolution” strategy and acts of sabotage of hostile and reactionary forces, and controlling criminal activities.

Delegates of the meeting also had a chance to discuss and talk to the outstanding officers.

Earlier on the same day, the delegation of the outstanding officers led by Senior Colonel Pham Ba Hau, Vice Director of the Department of Party and Political Work, offered incense and paid tribute to Uncle Ho at His Mausoleum as well as lit incense at the Monument of Martyrs in Bac Son street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
