MPS inaugurates memorial of infirmary of former South security branch
PSNews –Hospital 304, under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS,) on July 26 organize a ceremony in Tay Ninh to inaugurate the Memorial House of the Infirmary of the Security Office of the South Vietnam Command, precursor of Hospital 304.
The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Tong Manh Chinh, Director of Hospital 304, said that, over the past 56 years of development (August 6, 1962 – 2018), the infirmary has now become a first-class general hospital and the leading hospital of the Public Security Forces in the southern provinces.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also emphasized that the construction of the Memorial House reflects the respect and gratitude of the leaders of the MPS, all public security officers and soldiers to the staff of the infirmary, who had created the concrete basis for today’s Hospital 304, and contributed significantly to with the hospital’s conferment of the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”.
He also urged Hospital 304 to upgrade related sub-projects, continue to collect names of generations of medical workers of the infirmary, coordinate with competent agencies to speed up the recognition of the Memorial House as a relic site along with the Relics of the Security Office of the Central South Vietnam Command.
