MPS leader receives EU delegation head
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) on January 16th in Hanoi received newly-accreditedHead of the European Union (EU) delegation to Vietnam, Ambassador Pier Giorgio Aliberti.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his delight at the rapid and positive development of the ties between Vietnam and EU in general as well as between Vietnam and EU’s member countries in particular over the past time.
The deputy minister said that the MPS and EU should cooperate to implement the contents of the Vietnam – EU Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on cooperation in preventing and fighting organized crime, trafficking in persons, illegal migration, terrorism and cyber-security.
He also wished Ambassador Pier Giorgio Aliberti a big success during his term of office and made great contributions to the development of Vietnam- EU relations.
Thanking Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh for the reception, Ambassador Pier Giorgio Aliberti affirmed that the bilateral relations and cooperation between Vietnam and the EU has been thriving in all areas.
The ambassadorsaid that he will try his best to contribute to the development of the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the EU.
