MPS leader requests public security units to pay due attention to gender equality

The Committee for the Advancement of Women, Family and Children Affairs under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on February 26 held a conference to review its task performance in 2019 and roll out the key missions in 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women, Family and Children Affairs chaired the conference.

The implementation of gender equality for the advancement of women, family and children affairs in the Public Security Forces has achieved outstanding results over the past time. The Committees for the Advancement of Women, Family and Children Affairs at all levels in the Public Security Forces focused on consolidating their organizational structures in line with the new organizational structure of the MPS. Female public security officers and soldiers made significant contributions to protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety as well as building the Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh stated that the implementation of gender equality in the Public Security Forces was proactively carried out in a comprehensive manner. A lot of female public security officers and soldiers did good deeds and good and set good examples at work and in life.

He also emphasized the importance of being fully aware of gender equality for the advancement of women, family and children affairs, and asked relevant units to provide more specific figures on gender equality. 

The Deputy Minister believed all female public security officers and soldiers in the Public Security Forces will continue to further promote their honorable traditions, and try their best to successfully accomplish all the assigned tasks.
