MPS meets students of 79th training course on national defense and security

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Minister of Public Security on March 2 hosted the meeting with leaders of the National Defense Academy and trainees of the 79th training course on national defense and security for class-1 cadres.

The meeting also saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Deputy Political Commissar of the National Defense Academy.

The training course on National Defense and Security for class-1 cadres is designed  for leaders and potential leaders of Central-level agencies, ministries, branches and provinces.

At the event, Minister To Lam briefed delegates and trainees on the results of the Public Security Forces’ (PSF) task performance in the first two months of 2020. The minister affirmed that these achievements were significantly contributed by the trainees of the 79th course who hold key positions at Central-level agencies, ministries, branches and localities.

On behalf of the MPS, Minister To Lam thanked them for their contributions and hoped that they will further coordinate with the PSF in promoting national socio-economic development as well as ensuring national defense and security in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, the senior student of the 79th training course expressed thanks to the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister To Lam for paying due attention to the course. He affirmed that they will spare no effort to learn knowledge during the training course, contributing to ensuring national defense and security in the time to come.
