MPS of Vietnam signs agreement with Cambodian Ministry of Interior

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam on January 18 held talks with the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia to review the bilateral cooperation in 2019 and sign a new agreement on cooperation in 2020.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, while the Cambodian delegation was led by Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

The two ministers reviewed bilateral cooperation in ensuring security as well as preventing and fighting transnational crimes, particularly drug-related crime, human trafficking and high-tech crime.

The two sides were also committed to further promoting cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels, coordinating to defeat all plots and activities of hostile forces and effectively fighting transnational and newly-emerging crimes.

The two heads of delegation signed a new agreement of cooperation for 2020.

At the meeting. 

On this occasion, under the authority of the Party and State chiefs, Minister To Lam presents the Friendship Order to the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia; 10 Friendship Medals to various individuals under the Cambodian Ministry of Interior.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, presents National Security Protection Decorations to 4 individuals under the Cambodian Interior Ministry.
