MPS organizes training workshop on personnel work, policies for public security officers

PSNews – The Department of Organization and Personnel under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) opened a workshop on December 12 in Buon Ma Thuat city, Dak Lak, to train officers in charge of organization and personnel in public security units in personnel work, as well as policies and social insurance for the Public Security Forces (PSF) in 2018.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Dinh Huy Hieu, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee of Dak Lak; the Vietnam Social Security and some 1,000 officers responsible for personnel work.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the MPS have defined 2018 as “the Year of Organization and Personnel” and taken the lead in implementing the Resolutions of the 4th Meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party building and the 6th Meeting on reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus of the political system for more efficiency and effectiveness. This has demonstrated the strong political resolve and responsibility of the Public Security Forces to the Party, State and people.

Deputy Minister Thanh emphasized that this workshop also aims to evaluate initial results of the Public Security Forces’ personnel work, and implementation of policies and social insurance for public security officers and soldiers in the past time; at the same time, it is also expected to discuss shortcomings and limitations in personnel work, and implementation of policies and social insurance for public security officers and soldiers, their causes and solutions to the issues.

The conference lasts two days till December 13.
