MPS receives medical equipment donated by Chinese partner

Under the authority of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations, on May 12 received an aid package of medical equipment from the Ministry of Public Security of China.

China’s support includes 50,000 medical masks and 10,000 KN95 masks, 10,000 pairs of gloves, 500 protective suits and glasses, which meet the Chinese quality standards and totally cost about 2 billion VND.

At the event, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong conveyed Vietnamese Minister To Lam’ appreciation for the support to the Ministry of Public Security of China and Chinese Minister Zhao Kezhi.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the Governments, peoples and Ministries of Public Security of the two countries have cooperated closely and effectively in dealing with the epidemic, which has also contributed to regional and international efforts to fight the COVID-19 epidemic.

Lieutenant General Luong Van Thong highly appreciated the close cooperation between the two Ministries in ensuring national security, preventing and controlling crimes, particularly high-tech, drug-related crimes, human trafficking, and in pursuit of fugitives.
