Delegates of the conference said, although fire incidents and explosions have been curbed in comparison with the same period of 2017, the situations of fire in residential areas have still remained very complex; as a result, they caused great casualties and property loss, and made people worried and anxious.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh recognized and spoke highly of the efforts and achievements of the fire police in the past time.

He also emphasized that, amid the complex situation of fire, explosion and accidents, the fire police force had made efforts to deploy forces and means to effectively fight fire while minimizing the losses of human and property  caused by fire or explosion.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh also urged the fire police force to seriously and effectively follow the directions of the MPS on fire prevention and fighting; give good advice to the leaders of the MPS on proposals to the Prime Minister for promulgation of directives on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in residential areas. The fire police force was requested to develop a project to establish a fire prevention and fighting center in each locality so that local people are regularly educated and drill in fire prevention and fighting and rescue.
