The public security agencies and units at all levels have collected and digitalized nearly 80 million declarations of residency status from 59 out of the 63 provinces and cities across the country.
The ministry also implemented other important tasks, including drawing up a Project to Enter Data into the NPDP, developing software systems, and crafting procedures for connecting the citizenship ID system to the national population database.
In order to speed up the project, the MPS on March 4 issued a master plan to complete the whole project by April 30, 2021, contributing to improving the efficiency of State management over population, promoting the building of an e-Government, a digital economy and society, and facilitating the operations of the Public Security Forces.

The Minister asked the Steering Committee and the public security agencies and units at all levels to be fully aware of the importance and urgency of the project. He also requested the public security agencies and units to develop approaches to ensure information safety and security when ministries and sectors connect the database and share with one another information and data in the coming time.
