MPS reviews task performance in May and rolls out June working plan

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 3 held a meeting to review its tasks performance in May and announced a new working plan for June 2019. General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Committee, Minister of Public Security chaired the event.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Chief of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office, briefed the participants on the outcomes of the entire Public Security Forces’ task performances in May.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam highly recognized and praised the efforts of all public security officers and soldiers for their successful fulfillment of the assigned tasks in May.

In the coming time, Minister To Lam urged all agencies and units under the MPS to closely implement policies and directions of the Party and State, as well as mandates and instructions of the MPS while reviewing and evaluating the progress and results of their implementation of MPS’s yearly working plans achieved since the beginning of the year to make  reports for the upcoming conference to review task performances of the whole Public Security Forces in the first 6 months of 2019.

Minister To Lam also asked all under-ministerial agencies, commands and local units to implement drastically plans to ensure security and order while well thoroughly grasping, analyzing, evaluating and forecasting situational developments related to national security and public order and safety in order to advise  the MPS as well as the Party and the State to issue timely guidance on dealing with issues arising.

The MPS’s agencies, commands and units must also prevent any complicated cases related to security and order, early detect and completely defeat acts of sabotage of hostile forces, and coordinate closely with other forces to resolve issues voiced by the National Assembly’s deputies and voters during the 7th plenary session of the 14th National Assembly.

In addition, leaders of all public security agencies, command and local units should gear up the implementation of their assigned tasks in the first 6 months in line with the 2019 MPS working plans; completing the preliminary report of police work in the first 6 months of 2019 while reviewing results of their task performances, drawing lessons and proposing solutions to overcome obstacles and shortcomings in the coming time.

Minister To Lam also asked the whole police force to continue implementing the project on deployment of professional police officers to communal-level police posts and carefully review the outcomes in local public security and order of the project while enhancing administrative reforms and improving the quality of the police’s administrative services for people.
