MPS’s leader inspects Southern prisons

PSNews – Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security on May 31 led a delegation to visit the Ben Gia Detention Center in Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province.

Present at the event were also leaders of the Boards of Superintendants of the Cao Lanh, Dinh Thanh, Channel 5, Channel 7 detention centers and Con Cat children detention school.

Leaders of the Ben Gia Detention Center briefed the Deputy Minister of Public Security and the delegation on their task performance in recent years.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Deputy Minister praised and appreciated the results of the work of the Ben Gia Prison in the past. At the same time, he spoke highly of the efforts by all officers and workers of the detention center, saying that they had overcome numerous difficulties over the past time to accomplish all assigned tasks.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son highlighted key tasks for the Ben Gia Prison in the following months of 2016, asking all officers and workers to pay more attention to Party building and force building; to take due care of the material and cultural lives of inmates and avoid negative phenomena occurring in the prison; 

"The Prison should also continue improving the effectiveness of leadership and quality of task performance; strengthen relationships with the  leadership and the people, other armed forces in the locality; promote comprehensive education for officers, soldiers and workers; and implement special policy for troops and workers who have difficulties or live far from their families.", said the Deputy Minister.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security hoped that all officers and workers of the prison to continue to maintain and promote good traditions of the unit, overcome difficulties and accomplish their assigned tasks.
