MPS seeks voters' opinions about 15th-tenure NA nominees

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting of key leaders to gather opinions on the four public security candidates for deputies to the 15th-tenure National Assembly (NA).

The event, which was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, drew the participation of General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, and other leaders of the MPS and under-ministerial agencies and units.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong announced the list of four public security officers as candidates for deputies to the 15th-tenure NA. 

They are Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General To Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Tan Toi, and Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative, Judicial Reforms under the MPS Senior Colonel Vu Huy Khanh.

Overview of the event.

At the meeting, Major General To An Xo, Chief of the MPS Office, briefed the delegates on the personal background and competency of the candidates. The delegates then discussed the candidates’ professional expertise, credibility, and abilities to make laws. After democratic and open discussions, all agreed to nominate the four public security officers as candidates for deputies of the NA of the 15th term.

On behalf of the four candidates, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To vowed to fulfill all their missions as the people's representatives. They will listen to the voters’ recommendations, opinions, and present their aspirations to the NA. 

The Deputy Minister also promised to make contributions to the building of clean, strong, professional, elite, and modernized Public Security Forces following the Resolution of the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress.

All delegates voted on the four candidates for deputies to for the 15th-tenure National Assembly by show of hands.
