Malik Research Institute intensify cooperation

In the afternoon of July 19, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS), met with Professor Fredmund Malik, Chairman of the Malik Research Institute, who is on a visit to Vietnam.

Minister To Lam warmly welcomed Professor Malik and a delegation of the Malik Institute. Minister To Lam believed that the visit would further promote cooperation between Vietnam's MPS and the Malik Institute in the coming time.

At the reception, Minister Lam highly valued the Malik Institute's scientific activities over the years, especially projects conducted by Professor Malik on cybernetics, setting forth valuable theories that have already been applied to the reality in many countries including Vietnam.

Minister To Lam emphasized that successful application of the outcomes of the Malik Institute’s scientific research into the work of the Vietnamese public security forces is important to building the forces as a modern, elite and regular force.

Minister Lam expressed his hopes to further cooperate with the Malik Institute in the coming time in sharing information  about the Institute's scientific achievements, especially the methods of social and economic management, for Vietnam could effectively apply them to the reality, contributing to its national construction and defense cause.

The Vietnamese Minister also hoped to continue coordinating with the institute in conducting scientific research and applying scientific results into prevention and combat against crimes relating to social order and safety, as well as into personnel training, prevention and combat of drug-related crime, terrorism, cybercrime, transnational crime, environmental crime and other emerging crime.

Mr. Malik thanked Minister To Lam for his reception and confirmed that he would continue coordinating closely with the Ministry of Public Security to apply scientific achievements to the training and scientific research of the MPS.
