Meeting discusses waterway traffic order and safety

PSNews - Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised all comments and opinions of participants. He instructed the Department of Traffic Police to continue combating illegal sand mining and ensuring domestic waterway traffic order and safety. 

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired a meeting with the Department of Traffic Police and leaders of relevant departments and general departments on August 24 to discuss solutions to ensuring domestic waterway traffic order and safety.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Tran Son Ha, Director of the Department of Traffic Police stated that, over the years, waterway traffic order and safety have been maintained. As a core force in ensuring waterway traffic order and safety, the waterway police force has prevented, investigated and promptly dealt with violations while popularizing waterway traffic law among people.

However, the force still faces many difficulties. Participants at the meeting assessed the real situation, discussed and proposed solutions to resolving remaining problems in the management and prevention of violations.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised all comments and opinions of participants. He instructed the Department of Traffic Police to continue combating illegal sand mining and ensuring domestic waterway traffic order and safety.

In addition, the department should focus on political education and assign personnel appropriately with the aim of ensuring legitimate rights and interests for the force.

Local police units should review existing equipment so as to acquire necessary items in line with the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security.
