Minister: More investment needed for developing sports in PSF

General To Lam, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, on March 17 worked with functional units on developing sport activities in the Public Security Forces (PSF).

The event saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security. 

Speaking at the working session, Minister To Lam highlighted that the PSF has gained various achievements in domestic and international sports competitions, especially in shooting, archery and swimming. 

He also asked the Department of Party and Political Work to promote sport activities in the PSF, focusing on sport movements across the forces, sports in support of professional activities, and high-record sports. He also suggested investing more in the sports that the PSF has achieved high records, particularly martial arts, athletics, shooting and swimming. 

Major General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work, said the public security sport sector has always been among the 10 strongest sporting delegations of the country and has made great contributions to the national sport achievements at international competitions. 

Delegates at the working session also discussed various shortcomings and proposed the solutions in order to improve the effectiveness and quality of sport movements in the PSF.
