Minister To Lam asks Hai Phong police to drastically stamp out crimes

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, on October 17 led a delegation to work with the Hai Phong Municipal Police Department.

The working session saw the presence of Mr. Le Van Thanh, Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council of Hai Phong; and Major General Do Huu Ca, Director of the Hai Phong Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Minister Lam applauded the achievements gained by the Municipal Police of Hai Phong in particular and the whole public security forces in general during the 3 years implementing the Resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and the 15th Municipal Party Congress.

Minister Lam emphasized that Hai Phong has made strong developments and positive changes. He also highlighted the contribution of the local police to the city’s achievements, saying that the city’s police force excellently fulfilled their tasks, advised the local leadership at all levels on measures and plans to ensure political security and social order, as well as prevention and combat of crimes, contributing to the socio-economic development of the city and the nation.

Minister Lam also attended the ground-breaking ceremony for a project to upgrade the headquarters of Hai Phong Police. 

In the current situation with complex potential challenges for local security and order, and the city as a key transitional point of drug trafficking rings, originating crimes of various kinds, Minister Lam asked the city police to deploy all forces to suppress crimes of all kinds with a focus on drug-related crime, hi-tech crime and crimes involving foreigners.

During the visit to Hai Phong, Minister Lam also attended the ground-breaking ceremony for a project to upgrade the headquarters of Hai Phong Police.
