Minister To Lam checks CIC of Traffic Police Department

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 30 visited and inspected the Command and Information Center (CIC) of the Traffic Police Department.

The delegation included Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

At the meeting, Major General Le Xuan Duc, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department briefed the delegates on the Traffic Monitoring System.

The images recorded by the traffic monitoring system serve as evidence for the traffic police force to handle violations against traffic safety and order regulations, contributing to preventing and deterring traffic safety violations as well as raising the people's awareness of following traffic order regulations.

It also helps the police forces effectively prevent and combat crimes on traffic routes.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam asked the traffic police force to mobilize other units and agencies and the political system to participate in ensuring traffic safety and order while further popularizing traffic laws and raising the public awareness of obeying the laws.

The Traffic Police Department was urged to complete the draft of the Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety and Order to early submit it to the Government and the National Assembly. The law is expected to better ensure safety for road traffic participants.
