Minister To Lam meets voters in Bac Ninh

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo’s member, Minister of Public Security, member of the Bac Ninh provincial National Assembly (NA) delegation on June 27 hosted a meeting with voters of Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province.

The meeting also saw the participation of Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and head of the Bac Ninh provincial NA delegation.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Deputy Head of the Bac Ninh provincial NA delegation briefed voters on the outcomes of the 14th NA’s third session and gave feedbacks of the Bac Ninh provincial authorities to the queries of voters of Gia Binh district.

The voters in Gia Binh district made various recommendations and suggestions to the provincial NA delegation. They considered that it is necessary to set deadlines for the issuance of documents guiding the implementation of the laws. They asked the local authorities to invest in a district-level children's cultural zone, Tri bridge, Thien Thai ecological tourism area, provincial road 285; agricultural irrigation projects; and the model design of village cultural house...

Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien vowed that all voters’ opinions were noted by the delegation. Regarding the issue related to the Bac Ninh province’s authority, he said that the province will allocate capital for the proposed projects under the province’s general roadmap.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam briefed the voters on a number of issues relating to the national economic, social, security and order situation, meeting voters’ need for information about all aspects of the country since the beginning of 2017.

According to Minister To Lam, the Ministry of Public Security has gained many positive results in fighting and preventing all kind of crimes while national security has been well maintained.

Minister To Lam revealed that the public security forces have successfully handled a majority of more than 21,000 cases with a rate of resolved cases higher than the target set by the NA, arresting about 43,000 criminals and stamping out 800 dangerous criminal bands.  

The Minister of Public Security said that there are still many kinds of crimes, such as criminal crimes under the cover of businesses; drug crimes and illegal exploitation of natural resources.

“The public security forces will continue to focus on fighting crimes, contributing to maintaining security and order”, Minister To Lam affirmed.

Regarding NA’s agenda, Minister To Lam said that the NA members spent much time discussing social issues, including food safety, health care and education.

Minister To Lam said that he will raise some queries of the voters, like setting a deadline for the issuance of law-guiding documents, to the National Assembly and the Government for further consideration.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam also highly appreciated the resolve and effort of the Bac Ninh province's leadership and people to build Bac Ninh city as a Central-managed city.

At the same time, he hopes that Bac Ninh provincial voters will continue to promote high levels of patriotism, self-reliance and self-reliance, to contribute to improving socio-economy.
