Minister To Lam pays working visit to Dalian City, China

At the meeting, Mr. Tan Chengxu welcomed and highly appreciated the visit by Minister To Lam and his entourage to Dalian City, Liaoning Province.

Mr. Tan Chengxu briefed the delegation on the socio-economic development of Dalian City – a young and dynamic city. He highly appreciated the cooperation between Liaoning Province in general and Dalian City in particular with provinces and cities of Vietnam. He also wished to further strengthen and promote the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Liaoning Province as well as Dalian City with provinces and cities of Vietnam.

For his part, Minister To Lam expressed his joy at visiting Dalian City, Liaoning Province and and thanked Mr. Tan Chengxu for his reception. He also congratulated the achievements of the Dalian government and people in terms of socio-economic development, environmental protection, preservation and promotion of traditional culture, improved living standards and international integration.

Minister To Lam affirmed that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam always attach importance to developing stable, healthy and sustainable relations with China while considering China as one of the top priorities in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multi-lateralisation, diversification, for peace, cooperation and development.

Minister To Lam hope that, Dalian City in particular and Liaoning Province in general with their strengths and potentials would promote cooperation in trade, tourism, investment, science and technology, especially security and law enforcement with ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam.

Recently, the cooperation of the two countries’ Ministries of Public Security has achieved fruitful results, and become an important reference channel for the two sides' leaders, contributing to strengthening political trust and promoting the comprehensive and substantive relations between 2 countries.
