Minister To Lam receives outgoing Russian Ambassador

PSNews - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS), on November 4th, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Vietnam, Mr. Kostantin Vasilievich Vnukov, as he paid farewell visit to the MPS before completing his term of office in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam emphasized that the Vietnamese MPS highly appreciated the contributions of the Russian Embassy’ staff in general and Mr. Kostantin Vasilievich Vnukov in particular to relations and cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the Russian relevant agencies over the past time.

Minister To Lam said that Vietnam and Russia jointly celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1950 - 2020). Vietnam always attaches great importance to strengthening the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, and expanding cooperation in all fields. 

The two sides will continue to implement the Cross Year activities (2019-2020) in a manner suitable for the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

He also expressed his belief that the Vietnam - Russia comprehensive strategic partnership will further develop, meeting the interests and aspirations of the people of the two countries.

Sincerely thanking to Minister To Lam for his warm reception, Ambassador Kostantin Vasilievich Vnukov stated that, in any position, he would continue serve as a bridge between the two sides and contribute to bolstering the traditional relations between the two countries.
