Minister To Lam receives representative of Lao Ministry of Security

PSNews - Minister To Lam emphasized that the special traditional friendship and solidarity between the two countries have always preserved and fostered over the past years by generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

General To Lam, Member of Politburo, Minister of Public Security, had a meeting with Mr. Phayvanh SitthiChanh, Chief of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Security (MoS) of Laos on August 25 in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam emphasized that the special traditional friendship and solidarity between the two countries have always preserved and fostered over the past years by generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

Overview of the meeting.

Recently, transnational crimes, especially human trafficking, drug-related crime, and high-tech crime, have become complicated that requires the police forces of the two countries to strengthen their comprehensive cooperation. 

According to the Vietnamese Minister of Public Security, the two representative agencies of the MPS of Vietnam and the MoS of Laos will serve as a bridge connecting the two ministries. They also play a crucial role in exchanging information, and promptly advising leaders of the two ministries to implement cooperation contents in line with the real situation.

Minister To Lam suggested that the Chief and Deputy Chief of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Security of Laos in Vietnam should continue to closely coordinate with relevant units of the Vietnamese MPS to effectively realize cooperation programs and plans between the two ministries, contributing to cementing the special unity, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples in general, and between the two ministries in particular.

Sincerely thanking to Minister To Lam for his warm reception, Mr.Phayvanh SitthiChanh expressed that the Party, State and people of Laos always appreciate the special support of Vietnam, including that from the Vietnamese MPS, over the past time. 

He affirmed that, in his new position, he will serve as a bridge connecting the two countries in general and the two ministries in particular as well as expand the cooperation between the two ministries to a new height.
