Minister To Lam urges more cooperation with Google

PSNews - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on August 14 received Google Vice President for Public Policy and Government Relations for the Asia-Pacific Ted Osius.

Speaking at the reception, Minister To Lam hailed Google as the world’s major technological firm with much experience in providing Internet-related products and services, including those regarding social management.

He also affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security always welcomes and facilitates foreign enterprises, individuals and organisations, including Google, to do long-term business in Vietnam. Minister Lam suggested that the Ministry and Google should expand cooperation activities in fields of shared concern.

Osius, for his part, wished that Google would continue effectively cooperating with agencies and units of the Ministry of Public Security, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam–US ties for the benefits of the two peoples, and for peace and stability in the region and the world.
