Minister To Lam visits and presents gifts to policy beneficiaries in Tay Ninh
The Ministry of Public Security organized a gratitude-paying program in Tay Ninh on December 22.

The event saw the presence of General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and former senior police officers, leaders of various departments under the Ministry of Public Security.
It was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Tay Ninh.
The delegation led by Minister To Lam offered flowers and incense at the Victory Monument in the cultural historical relic of the South Central Command’s Security Section (Tan Lap commune, Tan Bien district). The monument is in honor of 14,000 public security officers who laid down their lives during the war for national independence and unification. The delegation also lit incense at the statues of Uncle Ho and late Prime Minister Pham Hung in the relic site.

During the program, the MPS presented 14 gratitude houses and 25 gifts to policy beneficiaries, families of martyrs and wounded soldiers and poor public security officers in Tay Ninh.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam highlighted the Vietnamese tradition “When drinking water, remember its source” and underscored the significance of gratitude activities.
According to the Minister of Public Security, the MPS has provided a total support of 69 billion VND for the building or repair of more than 1,600 houses for needy public security officers since 2012.
On the same day, Hospital 304 and Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department offered free health check-ups and medicine to over 300 poor people in Tan Ha commune, Tan Chau district and Tan Lap commune, Tan Bien district.
