Minister To Lam visits families of MPS’s former leaders

On the occasion of the 75th National Independence Day, the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security, and the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day, General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS)  on August 13 visited families of General Vo Nguyen Giap and former leaders of the ministry living in Hanoi.

Particularly, Minister To Lam and his entourage visited and paid tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap, the late Director of the Central Public Security Department Le Gian, the late Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc Hoan, the late Minister of Public Security Le Minh Huong, and the late State President Tran Dai Quang (also former Minister of Public Security) at their houses.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Minister To Lam inquired after and presented gifts to families of the late leaders. He also expressed the appreciation and gratitude for the great contributions of the late leaders to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people as well as the development of the Public Security Forces.

The families of the leaders sincerely thanked Minister To Lam as well as promised to bring into play the glorious traditions of their families and educate their children to  make practical contributions  to protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety as well as the development of the People's Public Security.
