Minister To Lam works with Quang Nam Provincial Police

PSNews – General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on September 29 led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to work with the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department.

Minister To Lam speaks at the meeting with the Provincial Police of Quang Nam. 

The meeting saw the presence of Mr. Le Van Dung, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

According to the report delivered by Senior Colonel Nguyen Viet Loi, Director of the Provincial Police Department, the situation of security and order in Quang Nam in the last 9 months of 2019 was stable.

The Provincial Police Department successfully investigated 435 out of 539 criminal cases, and verified 505 people involved. The Provincial Police also effectively fought “black credit” and drug-related crimes.

As a result, 211 teams and 384 individuals under the Provincial Police Department were honored by authorities of various levels.

Minister To Lam and the delegation also visit and pay tribute at the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Monument.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam recognized and appreciated the achievements gained by the provincial police in performing their tasks.

He also asked Provincial Police Department to review and strive to fulfill the uncompleted tasks; further grasp the situation to advise local Party committees and authorities on effective approaches to ensure security and order, coordinate with neighboring provinces to maintain the province’s political security and social order and safety. Minister To Lam asked the Provincial Police Department to pay due attention to ensuring security and safety for upcoming Party congresses of all levels.

General To Lam also highlighted the importance of the Party and force building work as well as the deployment of professional police officers to communal posts.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam and the delegation also visited and paid tribute at the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Monument in An Phu ward, Tam Ky city.
