Minister of Public Security receives new US Ambassador to Vietnam

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security received Mr. Dan Kritenbrink, newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to Vietnam.

Minister Lam congratulated Ambassador Kritenbrink on his new position, stressing that the bilateral cooperative relations between the two nations are enjoying fine developments in all areas, including security, crime prevention and fight.

The Vietnamese Minister expressed his hope that the Ambassador would contribute to further promoting the fine relations between the two countries as well as the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of the US on the areas of mutual concerns, including prevention and fight against drug-related crime, cyber-crime, while enhancing cooperation in fighting conspiracies of terrorist organizations and transnational crime in a profound, comprehensive and effective manner.

The Ambassador sincerely thanked Minister Lam for his reception. He also said that he had presented the credentials to State President Tran Dai Quang on the morning of the same day. The Ambassador affirmed that, as the US Ambassador to Vietnam, he will promote the cooperative ties between the law enforcement agencies of the US and the MPS of Vietnam, considering this cooperation an important factor to build up mutual trust and strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields, meeting the development needs and benefit the peoples of the two countries.
