Minister of Public Security works with Central Highlands Steering Committee

PSNews–The Central Highlands Steering Committee held a meeting with relevant ministries, agencies and the DakLak People's Committee to organize the 4th Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference in 2017. Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, member of Politburo, Director of Central Highlands Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

At the conference, the participating ministries and local agencies gave ideas on the agenda for the conference and focused on seeking the answer to the question of  how to attract investment effectively in Central Highland, so asto best serve socio-economic and political security and social order in the region.

The Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference, which has become an important event in the region, has created opportunities for organizations and businesses to promote their brands, mobilize resources for fast and sustainable development, ensure social security, and reduce poverty for people, particularly ethnic minorities, in the region.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam highly appreciated great ideas of delegations on how to attract more investment in the Central Highlands. Minister stressed, the Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference is the central mission of the entire region in 2017. He requested relevant ministries and agencies to make special efforts to call for investment and develop the region’s economy.

Minister To Lam also asked involved ministries and localities to carefully study regional potentials and highlight its strengths in tourism, agriculture to investors. Besides, the Central Highlands needs to invite businesses from developed countries, investment groups, large financial institutions and tourism companies to in the conference.

The Investment Promotion Conference also should draw up plans to advertise the image of the Central Highlands, orient investors and domestic and international resources toward regional niches;and create opportunities and favorable conditions for investors to fully exploit the region’s potentials and invest in its strengths,such as agriculture, commerce, service, tourism and credit, as well as strengthen the connections between the Central Highlands and other regions and within the region.

Minister To Lam requested ministries and local agencies to focus on their assigned tasks to ensure success for the conference in line with the set objectives.

The 4th Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference is scheduled to be held in March 2017 in Dak Lak.
