The event saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of VFF Central Committee Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, leaders of Hoa Binh province and relevant units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Hang Kia and Pa Co are two communes with significant defense and security position of Hoa Binh province and the Northwestern region at large. Over 6,000 people, 98.6 % of which are of the Hmong ethnic minority, live in the mountainous and remote areas of the two communes.

Recognizing the housing difficulties of the local people, the Ministry of Public Security directed the Hoa Binh provincial police to advise the provincial authorities and coordinated with relevant agencies to work out a plan to  build houses for poor locals.

Over the past time, the police of Hoa Binh province and Mai Chau district made a list of families in the two communes in need of housing support. Meanwhile, house designs were drawn and the total funding for the housing project was estimated.
