This is an important event in the context that data security and personal data protection are increasingly concerned by countries in the world. The right to protect personal data is recognized by a number of countries as privacy that should be respected and protected.
Overview of the event. |
At the workshop, delegates listened to domestic experts’ presentations on the Vietnamese laws and practices in personal data protection in Vietnam. Meanwhile, international experts shared their experience in developing policies and practices in personal data protection in the world.
The outcomes of the workshop would serve as bases for the MPS and the MoJ to study, develop and complete the Decree on personal data protection and other relevant legal documents, which could shape a strong legal corridor for personal data protection in Vietnam.
